Niamh O'Brien - Folk Machinery
March 31 & April 2, 5 PM Boulder time
in the CASE W250 pop-up and streaming on our twitch channel!

Folk Machinery is a performance by artist-researcher Niamh O'Brien. Taking inspiration from the work of the Irish Folklore Commission (1935-1970) Niamh has recorded with a number of Boulder-based Irish traditional musicians. This performance will bring together the sounds and stories she collected, live harp music and song, and reflections on the role of the collector and the machines of her trade. Niamh is a harp player, singer, composer and artist from Ireland. She is a Fulbright-Creative Ireland Fellow 2025-6 hosted by the Media Archaeology Lab at CU Boulder.
